Anthony was part of the Working Group commissioned by the Office of the Small Business Commissioner with respect to proposed amendments to the Retail Leases Act.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (with Merit) from the University of New South Wales.

In addition to his legal expertise, Anthony has extensive retail business experience, achieving in 1999 the Westfield Award for Retail Excellence in New South Wales (Men's Fashion.) He has previously held the position of Managing Director of a retail clothing chain for 11 years. His retail experience allows him to empathise and understand retail leasing from the practical perspective of the parties themselves.
